Head Chef – New Venue – Liverpool NSW

Job Overview

A major Sydney hospitality group are on the verge of opening a brand new venue in the multicultural food hub of Liverpool.  Our client is on the hunt for an experienced head chef to oversea kitchen operations . This new venue comprises of a modern café for local coffee lovers, a casual dining bar and grill and a small function space for events. With a brand-new kitchen this this multi-faceted venue will attract food lovers far and wide and is destined to become one of the Western Suburbs dining hot spots.

This is a hands-on roll, so the successful candidate should have the skills and experience to manage a busy kitchen during service periods. Working closely with the owners you will work together to ensure the kitchen team is equipped to deliver a high-quality product. You will be required  to manage all aspects of the kitchen operation, which will include menu development ,ordering, stocktakes and managing food cost.

 

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:

  • Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef, preferably within a fast paced, multi venue environment
  • Ability to plate up high quality food
  • Passion for food and food trends, and experience creating menu items
  • Previous experience managing food costs and ordering,
  • Previous experience leading a team, including rostering, wages and training
  • Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCAP
  • Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
