Chef de Partie – Private Members Club – Monday to Friday

Job Overview

One of Melbourne’s oldest private clubs is looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join their team within their multifaceted kitchen. The venue includes several elegant event spaces, and a small restaurant which serves the club’s private members. This role is ideal for a Chef who is looking for work-life balance, as the hours of work are predominately Monday to Friday, with weekends dependent on functions.

As the Chef de Partie, you will be capable of working in every section (predominantly fish) within the restaurant and event spaces. At times, you will also be required to take the lead and run service in either the restaurant or banquet kitchen.  Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be given the opportunity to develop creative menu ideas for special functions and develop your own skills.

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:

  • Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations
  • Previous experience within an industrial kitchen
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to develop your skills
  • Passion for food and the industry
  • A thorough understanding of food safety, including HACCAP
  • Positive communication skills, energy and attitude

In return for the your commitment, our client is offering;

  • A 5 day roster working mainly Monday to Friday with a combination of 3 day shifts and 2 doubles (if a 6th day is worked, a day in lieu is received)
